Special Counsel Hampton Dellinger today released the following statement after President Donald J. Trump yesterday announced that Henry J. Kerner will replace Cathy Harris as Chair of the MSPB.

Special Counsel Hampton Dellinger today released the following statement after President Donald J. Trump yesterday announced that Henry J. Kerner will replace Cathy Harris as Chair of the Merit Systems Protection Board (MSPB).

“I want to applaud and thank Cathy Harris for her outstanding service as Chair of the MSPB," Dellinger said. “Under her  leadership, the MSPB issued significant regulations and precedential decisions, updated its procedures for administrative judges, and most importantly, resolved its inherited inventory of cases that had built up over the five-plus years the Board lacked a quorum. MSPB is in an extremely strong position now because of Cathy's dedication and talents, and we look forward to her continued service as a member of the Board. Much credit also goes to members Henry Kerner and Ray Limon.

“I also want to congratulate Henry Kerner on being tapped to serve as Acting Chair. Henry was my predecessor here at the Office of Special Counsel and was an outstanding leader of OSC. He is an exceptional choice to chair MSPB and I wish him all the best in the role."
